Girls grow strongest when they are challenged and secure. Yet daily life often presents obstacles that make it difficult for them to thrive and become their best selves. Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma provides girls with a network of caring adults – promoting healthy behaviors, leadership, academic achievement, positive habits, and the capacity to safeguard personal well-being.
In the Outreach program, social relationships, self-reliance, self-esteem and respect for others are fostered. Through curiosity and creativity, the girls are encouraged to be explorers of a welcoming environment and problem solvers while also respecting individuals. Girl Scouts of all ages participate in community service projects, which help build character and confidence.
The GSEOK Outreach program reaches out to girls in Tulsa and Muskogee Public Housing as well as girls in rural settings. The Outreach program is administered by paid staff members and is currently serving approximately 1150 girls. We’ve had girls go on to college, increased self-esteem and improved academically.
Our Outreach programs are sponsored annually by foundations, grants, United Way contributions and more. If you are interested in supporting these great programs please visit Support Us.
