Screening

As part of the Adult Screening Process, volunteers undergo a background check.  This can be done electronically right from this page or you may download a form to print and mail/bring to the Council Office.  If you have not already done so, you must complete the volunteer application before undergoing a background check.

Electronic Background Check

1. Log on to the background check portal at https://gseok.volunteerportal.net
2. Enter the password on the Welcome Page: Gseok2432
3. Enter Personal Information.  All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
4. Click “Next” and review all information to ensure its accuracy before proceeding.
5. You may pause and return to the form by clicking “Save” before you quit/leave.
   1. If you click Save before you Quit, you will be provided with a reference code to enter when you return to the site to pick up where you left off.
   2. If you quit without clicking Save, the system will not save your information. Your background check will not be run. You will need to start over from the beginning when you return.
   3. When returning to the site, click on this link on the Welcome Page: "If you are returning to finish a previous search, then click here."
   4. Enter your last name and reference number to resume your previous search.
6. Click Complete
